Adoptathon!

I spent the day at an adoptathon at BowDog Canine Specialists facility on Dec 3, 2011. I was a TERRIFIC  girl! I played with other dogs and met lots of great people (all with perfect manners!).

When the crowds died down, I found it a little boring and took a siesta ...

Holiday card moment!

Nevada is such an angel - everyone falls in love with her. Strangers seem to be drawn to her on walks (perhaps it is those eyes, or just her beautiful demeanor!)

Nevada is learning how to approach new dogs, and is doing very well. Sometimes, as a puppy, she gets quite excited and tries to play a little sooner than the little dogs might like, but when they tell her to "settle down", she is quick to get the message. She drinks a lot of water and i give her food in the morning and at dinner, which she finishes in one sitting.

She sleeps in her crate at night, and when alone at home. Her crate training is coming along, but still needs continual practise and consistency. Soon she will feel totally comfortable in it, it just takes some time. It is worth it though because Nevada is a sweetheart!

If you think you might like to meet this little darling,
contact Misty Creek Dog Rescue to set up a meeting! You will fall in love!

Little Nevada ...

Nevada is a playful puppy around dogs and a gentle, little bear around people. She is instantly comfortable with women, but takes a little longer to warm up to men.

She can walk for miles and should be given plenty of exercise. Lots of energy! But once back home, she calms again, naps and approaches for affection or cuddling every now and then.

Nevada is house-trained, but as a puppy still needs to be let outside consistently. She is a very smart little girl, and picks up on things very quickly.
